What do you need help with?
Crackers + cheese + fruit + deli meat or another easy protein. Basically a homemade Lunchable for the days nobody wants another sandwich.
Mini waffles, yogurt, fruit and a breakfast bar absolutely count as lunch. Kids do not care what time pancakes are supposed to happen.
Pick a few shelf-stable things your kid actually eats and save them for the night you realize at 9 PM that lunch still needs packed.
Check the daycare cubby or spare-clothes bag. Replace the summer shorts with pants, socks and a sweatshirt before somebody spills milk on themselves.
Sweatshirts and light jackets are officially back. Put names on them now before you are digging through the lost-and-found pile.
That backup outfit from spring may not fit anymore. Take thirty seconds and make sure the emergency clothes can actually go on your kid.
Ten minutes now so Monday morning doesn’t come for you.
Cold morning? Rain coming? Figure it out before Monday so you know whether you are hunting for hoodies, rain boots or shorts at 6 AM.
Refill snacks, water bottles, wipes, tissues or whatever disappears fastest during the school week.
Make sure the sneakers, rain boots or school shoes they need this week still fit and are actually somewhere in your house.
They’re hungry. You’re tired. Everybody needs something. Start here.
Lunchbox, water bottle, school papers. Pull those three things out before the backpack disappears into the house.
Give hoodies, jackets and hats one place to land. Otherwise they will somehow end up on every chair you own.
Trash it, sign it or put it somewhere you actually need it. Do not move the same school paper around the kitchen for four days.
